Elmer “Tony” Stiltner

Elmer Tony Stiltner, 86, of Meigs, died Monday, September 18, 2023 at his residence.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 22 at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home with Dr. David Benton officiating. Interment will be held on a later date at Spring Branch Cemetery in Evanston, Kentucky.

Born March 23, 1937 in McArr, Kentucky, Mr. Stiltner was the son of the late John Stiltner and Kelsie Coleman Brown. He was a self-employed farrier and had previously worked in law enforcement. Mr. Stiltner was a retired Sergeant Major from the United States Marine Corps.

Survivors include his wife, Dolores Nazworth Stiltner of Meigs; two daughters, Gieselle C. Goatcher (Lee) of Blair, Nebraska and Christal Pitts (Donnie); four sons, Thomas R. Stiltner (Theresa) of Cynthiana, Kentucky, Tony W. Stiltner (Dena) of Desota, Missouri, Glenn Potter (Kim), and Charles Potter; a brother, Walter R. Stiltner of Sasser; two sisters, Trudy Bayne of Baconton and Betty S. Ritchie of Baconton; ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10 – 11 a.m. Friday, before services, at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home in Camilla.

There will be a graveside service conducted at 10 a.m. Sunday, September 24, 2023 from the Spring Branch Cemetery in Evanston, Kentucky. Magoffin County Funeral Home of Salyersville, Kentucky in charge of those services.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Christian Appalachian Project, 2528 Palumbo Drive, Lexington, Kentucky 40509.
