HONEYSUCKLE LANE – A mobile home was destroyed in an early morning fire on Wednesday.
Salyersville Fire Chief Paul Howard told the Independent crews were called at approximately 3:30 a.m. on June 17 to a fire on Honeysuckle Lane, off of KY Rt. 40 near the Magoffin/Johnson county line.
The mobile home, owned by Diana Rice, was a total loss, but Rice was able to get out of the home without injuries and was gone before fire fighters arrived.
At this time, Howard said the cause of the fire is unknown, but insurance will be sending out a cause and origin person to investigate it further.
Salyersville Fire Department and Magoffin County Sheriff Department responded to the fire.
