Harry Edward Green, 79, of Mason, formerly of Leslie, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, surrounded by his loving family and caregivers. Harry was born on December 7, 1942, the son of Melvin and Elizabeth Green. He was raised in Onondaga, Michigan and graduated from Leslie High School in 1961. In 1962, he married his high school sweetheart, Geraldine Arnett, and they raised three daughters, Jill, Julie, and Jodi in Leslie.

Harry was a life-time member of the Leslie Masonic Lodge #212/Mason Masonic Lodge #70, the Royal Arch Masons of Michigan Ingham Chapter #51, the Jackson York Right College #3, the Jackson Shrine Club, and the Scottish Rite Northern Michigan Jurisdiction. He held many offices within these organizations. He also was an active participant with the American Red Cross, the Leslie Jaycees, and the Leslie Ambulance Service, beginning with its inception. Harry owned and operated Harry’s Barber Shop in downtown Jackson for 52 years. Harry gave the best flattop around! Harry was an avid moose hunter that made many trips to Canada to hunt and fish. He really enjoyed his time at moose camp.

Harry will be remembered as being strong, kind, generous, and honorable. He always gave more than he received. Everyone couldn’t help but love Harry.
