SALYERSVILLE — Magoffin County is scheduled to visit Floyd Central for its opening game in the 2026 high school baseball season on Monday, March 16.
The Hornets and Jaguars are familiar foe. Magoffin County and Floyd Central met on two separate occasions during the 2025 high school baseball season.
The Hornets defeated the Jaguars twice in 2025, winning 14-4 and 18-1.
Magoffin County compiled a 3-24 record in the 2025 high school baseball season.
Floyd Central, which finished as the 58th District runner-up and reached the semifinals of the 15th Region Baseball Tournament, put together a 20-14 record one season ago.
The additional opponents on Magoffin County’s 2026 schedule are Bath County, Wolfe County, Pike County Central, Jackson City, Fairview, Powell County, Betsy Layne, Letcher County Central, Lawrence County, Menifee County, Johnson Central, Morgan County, Martin County, Shelby Valley, Paintsville, East Carter and Prestonsburg.
