James Edward Kilgore age 71 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Monday, December 13, 2021 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born August 21, 1950 in Albany, Michigan to the late John and Pearlie Patrick Kilgore.
Survived by his wife Peggy Porter Kilgore, two sons, Damon (Tina) Kilgore of Salyersville, Kentucky, Nathan (Melissa) Kilgore of Grayson, Kentucky, one daughter, Penny Kilgore of Salyersville, Kentucky, two sisters Marietta Wells of Owingsville, Kentucky, Minnie Ruth Risner of Royalton, Kentucky, four grandchildren, Tiana Kilgore, Brooklyn Kilgore, Billy Fannin, and Kaitlyn Fannin, and five great grandchildren.
In addition to parents, James is preceded in death by one brother, Sam Kilgore, and one sister Christine Kilgore Griffith.
James was a dedicated member of the New Bethel Assembly of God in Salyersville, Kentucky.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, December 15, 2021 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Charles Puckett officiating. Burial followed in the Patrick-Kilgore Family Cemetery at Puncheon in Royalton, Kentucky.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
