James Gordon Taulbee age 71 of Horse Pen Road, Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Thursday, November 16, 2023 at his home. He was born March 16, 1952 in Knox, Indiana to the late James Carl Taulbee and the late Virgie Rowe Clemmons.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Donie Gamble Taulbee, two sons, Michael James (Victoria) Taulbee of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, Sheridan Dale (Kristi) Taulbee of Salyersville, Kentucky, one daughter, Amy Michelle Taulbee of Salyersville, Kentucky, one stepson, Bobby Wireman, Jr. of Salt Lick, Kentucky, one stepdaughter, Tonya Lynn (Terry) Jenkins of Salyersville, Kentucky, three sisters, Lillian Gay Powers of Salyersville, Kentucky, Darlene Winfrey, Vivian Lopez both of Knox, Indiana, three grandchildren, Michael James “Mikey” Taulbee, Jr., of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, Londyn Faith Taulbee, and Trenton Lee Jenkins both of Salyersville, Kentucky.
In addition to his parents, James Gordon is preceded in death by three sisters, Beulah Allen, Inis Carty, and Louise Collinsworth.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, November 18, 2023 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with J.R. Owens and Floyd Arnett officiating. Burial followed in the Combs Cemetery at West Liberty, Kentucky.
In lieu of flowers, family has requested contributions made to the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
