Jim Day Gibson age 73 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at the Highlands ARH Regional Hospital in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. He was born July 15, 1948 in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Reverend Boyd and Eva Crace Gibson.
Survived by his wife, Hazel Mae Adams Gibson, two sons, Jamie (Lori) Gibson of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, John (Jennifer) Borders, of Salyersville, Kentucky, and one granddaughter, Emily Grace Gibson.
In addition to his parents, Jim Day is preceded in death by eight brothers, Larry Gibson, Ken Gibson, Gary Gibson, Tom Gibson, Henry Gibson, Bill K. Gibson, Challas Gibson, Dallas Gibson, three sisters, Edith Fannin, Alta Murphy, and Faye Helton.
Graveside services were conducted February 1, 2022, at the Earl May Cemetery at Salyersville, Kentucky, with Johnny Howard officiating. Services were by the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
