Joan Bailey age 71 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Friday, December 29, 2023 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born May 06, 1952 in Morgan County, Kentucky to the late Roy and Thelma Brown Coffey.
Survived by her husband, Bobby Bailey, two sons, James Mitchell Bailey, Michael Shane Bailey both of Salyersville, Kentucky, two daughters, Montana (Zachery) Smith, Chyanne (Austin) Rudd both of Salyersville, Kentucky, three sisters, Judy (Nelson) Francis of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, Donna (Rick) Salyer of Salyersville, Kentucky, Karen (JR) Dunn of Wellington, Kentucky, five grandchildren, Kristopher (Kelly) Burton, Tyler (Megan) Allen, Shane Dalton “Muffin” (Stephanie) Bailey, Jaden Smith, Gabe Smith, five great grandchildren, McKinley Grace Carr, Myles Allen, Remington Allen, Hudson Allen, and Wyatt Bailey.
In addition to her parents, Joan is preceded in death by one daughter, Santana Michelle Bailey, four brothers, Mitchell Coffey, Wendell Coffey, Bobby Coffey, Larry Coffey, three sisters, Katherine Francis, Janet Gullett, and Peggy Bailey.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 06, 2024 from the Elk Creek Freewill Baptist with John Blanton, Paul Hiner, and Allison Howard. Entombment will follow in the Bailey Cemetery at Grape Creek, Kentucky. Friends may visit the church Thursday, January 04, 2024 after 5:00 P.M., all day Friday, January 05, 2024, ad any time prior to funeral services on Saturday.
