Joe Dean Salyer age 83 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, April 02, 2024 at the Paintsville ARH Hospital in Paintsville, Kentucky. He was born November 12, 1940 in Paintsville, Kentucky to the late Wiley J. and Ann Isaac Salyer.
Survived by one son, Eric Salyer of Salyersville, Kentucky, three daughters, Jackie Howard, Paula Conley, Tammy Fletcher all of Salyersville, Kentucky, one brother, William J. Salyer of Salyersville, Kentucky, one sister, Rita Crace of Salyersville, Kentucky, eight grandchildren, Erica Salyer, Rylie Jo Salyer, Nick Castle, Chasten Jenkins, Shain Conley, Brandy Helton Howard, Brittany Arnett, Breanna Vanhoose, six great grandchildren, Nash Jenkins, Parker Castle, Taylor Castle, Noah Howard, Luke Cook, and Baylor McPeek.
In addition to his parents, Joe Dean is preceded in death by his wife, Merlene Williams Salyer, two brothers, Thomas R. “Skip” Salyer, an infant brother, and one sister, Carol Howard.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, April 06, 2024 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with William Jenkins officiating. Burial followed in the Salyer Cemetery at Flat Fork, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
