PAINTSVILLE — Magoffin County continued to show improvement but couldn’t battle back from behind as host Johnson Central won 52-37 during the semifinals of the 57th District Girls’ Basketball Tournament on Monday, Feb. 23.
The loss eliminated Magoffin County from the 57th District Girls’ Basketball Tournament. As a result of the loss, Magoffin County slipped to 8-18.
The win allowed Johnson Central to advance to the 57th District Girls’ Basketball Tournament title game. Reigning champion Johnson Central improved to 17-6 after notching the win.
