SALYERSVILLE — Magoffin County is back on the court, preparing to compete in the 2024-25 girls’ high school basketball season.
The Lady Hornets, under the direction of Coach Justin Williams, have opened preseason practice.
Magoffin County will be looking to show improvement early in the 2024-25 girls’ high school basketball season, which will tip off in early-December.
Several experienced players are back on the court for former 15th Region champion Magoffin County, which exited the 2023-24 girls’ high school basketball season 3-27. Tradition-rich Magoffin County has its group of players from the 2023-24 girls’ high school basketball season back.
Macy Williams, Abby Barnett, Jaylee Reed, Bella Trusty, Emily Sluss, Abigail Bradley, Maddie Salyer and Jerrica Reed are all experienced returning players for the Lady Hornets.
Magoffin County is scheduled to visit 15th Region counterpart Betsy Layne for its 2024-25 season opener on Tuesday, Dec. 3.
