UPDATE: SALYERSVILLE – The woman listing as missing last week has been found.
Last week the SI ran a report about Shawna Emmons, age 31, who was last seen on June 22 on Fletcher Branch in Salyersville. On Thursday, July 1, after the paper published, the Magoffin County Sheriff Department also posted information regarding the missing person case, and later that same day they updated the Facebook post to say that she had been found.
No other information was released regarding her disappearance or current condition.
Family members have since posted she is home and safe.

SALYERSVILLE – A woman last seen in Salyersville has been reported missing, with the family asking for anyone who has any information regarding her whereabouts to contact them or local law enforcement.
Shawna Emmons, age 31, was last seen June 22 on Fletcher Holler Branch in Salyersville, according to a family member’s social media post. Emmons reportedly has family and friends in Munith, Stockbridge and Jackson, Michigan.
Anyone with information regarding Emmons’ whereabouts since June 22 is asked to call either the Kentucky State Police at 606-433-7711, or the Magoffin County Sheriff Department at 606-349-2914.
The SI checked with KSP regarding the case, but they noted that the Magoffin County Sheriff Department is the lead investigator in the case.
