SALYERSVILLE — The Magoffin County football team will begin after school workouts on Monday, Jan. 6.
The sessions will be held every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3 p.m.-4:30 p.m. each day.
The workouts are for players who will be in grades 7-12 in the 2025-26 schoolyear.
Attendance at the sessions is critical to the Hornets’ success in the 2025 high school football season.
Student-athletes who are currently participating in another sport or have a time conflict should contact a member of the Magoffin County football team’s coaching staff about the workouts.
Each player will have Magoffin County workout gear supplied every day for the indoor sessions.
No cell phones or earbuds will be allowed in the weight room.
Players must wear closed-toe tennis shoes.
No sandals, flip flops or Crocs will be permitted.
Each player will have a locker.
Every player should keep a sweatshirt/hoodie and sweatpants available for occasional outside workouts.
The Hornets are preparing to compete in the 2025 high school football season.
