Continuing to show improvement, Magoffin County shot 48.0 percent (24-of-50) from the field. Magoffin County shot 36.8 percent (seven-of-19) from three-point range.
Excelling on the road, Magoffin County shot 71.4 percent (10-of-14) from the free throw line.
Abby Barnett led Magoffin County to the win. Barnett recorded a double-double, scoring 25 points and clearing out 10 rebounds.
Following Barnett in Magoffin County’s scoring column, Macy Williams netted 12 points.
Joining Barnett and Williams in double figures for Magoffin County, Bella Trusty scored 10 points.
Barely missing double figures, Kelsey Slone netted nine points for the Lady Hornets.
As part of a diverse offensive attack for Magoffin County, Karli Sites added six points while Jaylee Reed contributed three points.
Nearly logging a double-double of her own for Magoffin County, Williams claimed nine rebounds.
Phelps lost despite shooting 50.0 percent (18-of-36) from the field. Productive beyond the arc, Phelps shot 43.8 percent (seven-of-16) from three-point range.
