SALYERSVILLE — Magoffin County is ranked eighth in the Kentucky Prep Softball Preseason 15th Region Poll, which was released on Monday, Feb. 23.
The Lady Hornets are ranked ahead of Paintsville and East Ridge in the Kentucky Prep Softball Preseason 15th Region Poll.
The teams ranked in front of Magoffin County in the Kentucky Prep Softball Preseason 15th Region Poll are Pike County Central, Shelby Valley, Floyd Central, Pikeville, Belfry, Lawrence County and Johnson Central.
Several experienced players will be back on the field for Magoffin County in the 2026 high school softball season. The Lady Hornets compiled a 12-13 record one season ago.
Magoffin County is scheduled to visit rival Morgan County for its first game in the 2026 high school softball season on Wednesday, March 18. Head coach Tony Skaggs guides the Lady Hornets.
