HAGER HILL – Claiming its second straight win, Magoffin County shut out the Piarist School, a 15th Region rival, 3-0 in a high school volleyball match on Tuesday, Oct. 12.
Magoffin County defeated the Piarist School 25-16, 25-8, 25-19.
Nora Howard (3 kills, 8 digs), Mackenzie Bailey (4 digs), Jaden Williams (3 assists, 10 digs, 10 service aces), McKenzie Young (4 kills, 1 block, 3 digs), Allie Rodriguez (5 digs), Lauryn Whitaker (5 kills, 8 digs, 1 service ace), Makenna Jordan (2 kills, 1 assist, 3 digs, 14 service aces), Mackenzie Elkins (3 digs, 3 assists), Carlee Adams (1 assist, 4 digs), Maddie Auxier (1 kill, 7 assists), Isabella Dunn (2 assists, 1 dig, 3 service aces), Sophia Patrick (3 digs) and Macie Arnett (3 digs) each produced or Magoffin County in the shutout win.
Contributors for the Piarist School in the non-district high school volleyball match included Porsche Reichenbach, Mackenzie Sanders, Katana Reichenbach, Gloria Martinez, Julie Collinsworth, Alexis Goble and Lesley Angel.
Magoffin County remained in the win column after blanking 14th Region member June Buchanan 3-0 one night earlier.
