SALYERSVILLE — Magoffin County was limited offensively as Prestonsburg pulled away to win 67-34 on Monday, Jan. 27.
Prestonsburg shot 44.6 percent (25-of-56) from the field. The Lady Blackcats made five of 11 three-point field goal attempts, shooting 45.5 percent from beyond the arc.
Prestonsburg shot 70.6 percent (12-of-17) from the free throw line.
Jade Fitzpatrick led Prestonsburg to the win, scoring a game-high 21 points for the Lady Blackcats.
Joining Fitzpatrick in double figures for Prestonsburg, Allison Howard netted 11 points.
Narrowly missing double figures, Lakien Stephens scored nine points for the Lady Blackcats.
As part of a diverse offensive attack, 11 players entered Prestonsburg’s scoring column. The other scorers for Prestonsburg were Ashley Tackett (six points), Kendyl Stephens (six points), Sierra Slone (four points), Candace Allen (three points), Adrionna Layne (two points), Whitney Howard (two points), Addison Wright (two points) and Amelia Newsome (one point).
Tackett paced Prestonsburg inside, securing nine rebounds.
