SALYERSVILLE — Magoffin County is scheduled to meet host Jenkins in the Cavalier Christmas Classic on Friday, Dec. 20.
Tip-off for the Magoffin County-Jenkins girls’ basketball game is set for 8 p.m.
The Lady Hornets have shown improvement throughout the first three weeks of the 2024-25 girls’ high school basketball season.
Magoffin County is 1-6. The Lady Hornets pulled away to defeat Buckhorn for a win earlier in the season. Magoffin County has suffered losses to Betsy Layne, Phelps, Johnson Central, Pike County Central, Wolfe County and Martin County.
Jenkins entered the week 2-5 and was slated to host East Ridge on Thursday, Dec. 19.
Magoffin County is scheduled to host Jenkins for a home game in the second half of the 2024-25 girls’ high school basketball season on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
Former 15th Region rivals, Magoffin County and Jenkins did not meet during the 2023-24 girls’ high school basketball season.
