SALYERSVILLE — Magoffin County is slated to meet 15th Region rival Shelby Valley in the Lady Hawk Shootout at Pike County Central on Saturday, Jan. 18.
Tip-off for the Magoffin County-Shelby Valley game is set for 1:30 p.m.
Non-district rivals Magoffin County and Shelby Valley have not met previously in the 2024-25 girls’ high school basketball season.
Magoffin County and Shelby Valley met once during the previous prep hoops campaign. Shelby Valley defeated Magoffin County 55-31 in an early-season matchup on Dec. 4, 2023.
Magoffin County entered the week 4-9. The Lady Hornets are scheduled to host Paintsville for a 57th District game on Thursday, Jan. 16,
Magoffin County has additional regular season games remaining versus Paintsville, Jenkins, Menifee County, Floyd Central, Prestonsburg, Wolfe County, Martin County, Raceland, Phelps and Johnson Central.
