Nellie Borders Connelley, age 92, passed from this life on December 23, 2022, at her home. Nellie was born at Lowmansville, Kentucky, on September 4, 1929, to John and Vina Murray Borders, who preceded her in death. Two brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.
She was married to Ed Connelley, who also preceded her in death. She is survived by six children, Louise Grace, Tom (Sherry), Howard (Kathy), Pitt (Tam), Mark and Bayes, all of Salyersville. Also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Nellie was a devoted member of the Salyersville Christian Church for 60 years. She will be greatly missed by her church family.
Funeral services for Nellie Connelley were held on December 27, at the Christian Church at 11 a.m. with Bro Burnis Patrick, Minister, Dan Doucette, and Howard Connelley officiating. Burial followed at the Connelley Cemetery on Connelley Farm on Route 30.
Arrangements were under the directions of the Salyersville Funeral Home.
