Pauline Cavins

Pauline Cavins departed life on January 15, 2022, at the age of 76. She was born to Steve and Alice (Bailey) Pinks on March 3, 1945. Pauline was born and raised in Magoffin County. She was married to James (Odell) Cavins on October 24, 1970, at the age of 25. After marrying, they moved to Lexington, Ky where they stayed for 12 years. In 1982, the couple moved to Morgan County, Ky, where they remained for the rest of their lives.

Pauline and James (Odell) were married for 37 years before his passing in 2007. Their union was blessed with three children: Keith, Kenneth, Shaunte and a bonus son: Anthony (Tony) Wireman, four grandchildren, Danielle, Sheyenne, Kynlie, Karsyn, and a bonus grandson, Charles (Chas).

She was a devoted Christian for 45 years and was a long-time member of Half Mountain Church. To know Pauline was to love her. She never seen a stranger and would go out of her way to help anyone. She was always there when you needed her, even before you knew you needed her. She was a loving and compassionate person who was never seen without a smile. She will be greatly missed by all those that knew and loved her.

She survived be her three children, Keith (Debra) Cavins, Kenneth Cavins, Shaunte (Anthony) Wireman, her four grandchildren, Danielle (Jerry) Sturdivant, Sheyenne (Charles) Joslin, Kynlie Cavins, and Karsyn Cavins, four great grandchildren, Charles Keith (C.K.) Baker, Jasmine Baker, London Baker, and Freya Joslin, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Alice Pinks, husband James (Odell) Cavins, brothers, Buck Bailey, Beecher Pinks, Jackson Pinks, H-Way Pinks, Chester Pinks, Brack Pinks, Roy Pinks, and Early Pinks, three sisters, Oma Rife, Millie Arnett, Cora Rife.

Though she may not be here in body, the memories of her will remain in our hearts forever.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January, 22, 2022, 11:00 A.M. at the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Greg Minix officiating. Burial will follow at the Jones-Finch-Cavins Cemetery in Adele, Ky. Friends may visit the Magoffin County Funeral Home Friday, January 21, 2022 at 6:00 P.M-9:00P.M. and Saturday anytime prior to funeral services.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
