The Hatfield-McCoy Bowl will feature some of the top high school football players in both Kentucky and West Virginia.
Perkins was a longtime leader for Magoffin County, producing both offensively and defensively throughout his high school career. He helped to anchor the Hornets’ offensive line. During his senior season, Perkins blocked for a Magoffin County offense which rushed 433 times for 2,444 yards and 27 touchdowns. The Hornets averaged 244.4 rushing yards and 2.7 rushing touchdowns per game during Perkins’ senior campaign, which concluded in November 2024.
Perkins played under the direction of Magoffin County Coach John DeRossett throughout his high school career. Ironically, following his senior season, DeRossett played in the Hatfield-McCoy Bowl.
Perkins graduated from Magoffin County in June.
