Powell L. Conley age 80, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2023 in Adrian, MI. He was born November 21, 1942 in Salyersville, KY, the son of Edward and Hannah (Kazee) Conley.
Powell was a 1960 graduate of Belleville High School. He was employed at the Saline, MI Ford Plant for over 42 years. He was a member of Stony Creek Free Will Baptist Church. He coached Ypsilanti National Little League for several years and considered himself very fortunate to have attended two World Series. Powell was a talented musician who loved to sing and entertain throughout the community. He loved spending time with people, his family, church family and grandchildren. Visits to his home in Kentucky was a beloved retreat.
Powell is survived by his children Bret (Angie) Conley, Patrick Conley and Shelly (Jim) Branham; grandchildren Ashton, Alyssa (Bobby Keith) Joseph, Grace, Lincoln, Adam, Jacob, Kyle, Trevor and Tayla; great-grandchildren Addyson, Graysn and Parker; siblings Sandra (Leon) Claxton, Steven Conley and Kyle (Trish) Conley; in addition to many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service was held Sunday, July 2, 2023 at Magoffin County Funeral Home in Salyersville, KY (900 Parkway Drive).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
