Ressie Risner Roark, age 79, a resident of 220 Lee Roark Road in Hazel Green, Kentucky; passed away Saturday, February 25, 2023 at St. Claire Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky.
Ressie was born December 26, 1943 in Salyersville, Kentucky the daughter of the late Lloyd and Dora Risner. Son, Roy Lee Roark, daughter, Judy Roark Oney, son in laws, John Fugate, James Hunt, brothers, Lacy Risner, Johnnie Risner, Odell Risner, Roosevelt Risner, Elwood Risner, Ray Risner, Johnnie Risner, Codell Risner, and sister Mary Louise Roark proceed her in death.
Ressie was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family and friends.
Those left to mourn includes husband, Lee Roark of Hazel Green, Kentucky, daughters, Betty Helton and husband Jerry of Salyersville, Kentucky, Linda Back and husband Garry of Salyersville, Kentucky, Audrey Risner and husband Mark of Hazel Green, Kentucky, Peggy Minix and husband Russell of Salyersville, Kentucky, Sue Alsept and husband Ernie of Hazel Green, Kentucky, Diane Roark of Hazel Green, Kentucky, Leann Fugate of West Liberty, Kentucky, son in law, William Oney of Hazel Green, Kentucky, sister, Tressie Brown of Salyersville, Kentucky, brother, Junior Risner of Hazel Green, Kentucky, sixteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren. Also surviving is a host of family and friends who love and miss her.
Funeral services for Ressie Roark were conducted Thursday, March 2, 2023 from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home. Clergy Johnny Reed and Mark Risner delivered comforting words on the day of service. Interment followed in the Roark Family Cemetery on Lee Roark Road in Hazel Green, Kentucky.
