Roma Lynn Sublett Prater age 54 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at the Paul B. Hall Medical Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. She was born September 04, 1967 in Paintsville, Kentucky to the late Melvin Minix and Betty Jay Minix.
Survived by her husband Flint Doug Prater, one son, Jim Mitchell Kelly Prater of Royalton, Kentucky, two daughters, Betty Mae James of Salyersville, Kentucky, Kimberley Suzanne Prater of Paintsville, Kentucky, one brother, Christopher Todd Minix of Salyersville, Kentucky, five grandchildren, Dan Douglas Hale, Trenton Paul Hale, Jonathan James, Brody Grey Hensley, and Anna Berklee Snow Hensley.
In addition to her mother, Roma is preceded in death by one brother, Arby Lee “Bubby” Sublett, three sisters, Anita Jo Hylton, Kimberly Rose Sublett, and Myrtle Ellen Whitaker.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, December 19, 2021 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Johnnie Bailey officiating. Burial followed in the Less Risner Cemetery at Shoney Branch, Kentucky.
