Selma Ruth Arnett Carpenter age 80 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at her home. She is the daughter of the late Seldon and Maxine Carpenter Arnett.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Bruce Carpenter of Salyersville, Kentucky, David Morgan Carpenter of Pensacole, Florida, one daughter, Jonna Ruth Carpenter of Salyersville, Kentucky, four grandchildren, Kendra Dee Terante, Kayla Maxine Carpenter, Kelly Nichole Carpenter, John Morgan Carpenter, four great grandchildren, Bentley Morgan Carpenter, Maley Carpenter, Rory Terante, and Tatum Carpenter.
In addition to her parents, Selma is preceded in death by her husband, John Ernest Carpenter, and one sister, Barbara Janet Arnett Brown.
Selma was a homemaker and a faithful member of the Salyersville First Baptist Church.
Graveside services were conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, April 10, 2021 from the Bluegrass Cemetery in Salyersville, Kentucky, with Ben Martin officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
