LEXINGTON — Magoffin County archers Chloe Skaggs and John Martin Connelley competed in KHSAA state archery tournaments at Central Bank Center on Thursday, April 17.
Skaggs shot a 285 and placed 23rd in the KHSAA Girls’ State Archery Tournament. Among the top girls’ high school archers in the state, Skaggs recorded 18 10s.
Connelley shot a 285 and placed 43rd in the KHSAA Boys/Coed State Archery Tournament. Among the top boys’ high school archers in the state, Connelley recorded 17 10s.
Both Skaggs and Connelley have excelled for Magoffin County throughout the 2024-25 high school archery season. Magoffin County remains a high school archery program on the rise.
