SALYERSVILLE – The Magoffin County Special Olympics will be having a sign-up day on Saturday, March 20.
The local Special Olympics chapter will be accepting new athletes, coaches and volunteers at the Magoffin County High School football field on Saturday, March 20 at 12 p.m.
All current athletes and volunteers need to be there to pick up their packets of information concerning COVID-19 protocols.
Paul Montgomery, city councilman and volunteer with the group, explained to Mortimer Media Group that participation in the Special Olympics is completely free, with no fees or costs to join.
“Parents are not out a dime all fees and uniforms and equipment are paid for through donations and fundraisers,” Montgomery said.
