LEXINGTON — For the second consecutive year, Transylvania guard Kennedi Stacy has been named the HCAC Defensive Player of the Year.
Stacy finished the 2023-24 regular season first on the Transylvania women’s basketball team in steals (44).
A longtime basketball standout, Stacy recorded 74 assists for Transylvania during the 2023-24 regular season. Currently, Stacy ranks second in assists for the Pioneers.
A Magoffin County High School graduate, Stacy recorded a season-high seven steals in Transylvania’s win over Earlham on Wednesday, Jan. 3. Offensively, Stacy scored a season-high 23 points in Transylvania’s win over Maryville on Saturday, Nov. 25.
