Travis Lee Stewart, age 38, a resident of Salyersville, Kentucky; passed away March 4, 2022 at Pikeville Medical Center.
Travis was born June 22, 1983 in Peru, Indiana and was raised in Salyersville, Kentucky.
Travis played high school football and had a great passion for the game and cherished the friendships he made with his teammates. He was experienced in training and riding horses and had a great love for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and passing that on to his children. Travis worked many years in the oil fields.
Those left to mourn includes his parents, Lisa and Ron Simpson of Flat Gap Ky, Rod Stewart of Rochester Indiana, his children KarLee Stewart, Tavis Stewart, and Rylee Stewart all of Salyersville Ky, his siblings, sister Amanda(Wesley)Hall of Stamping Ground Ky, brother Mitch Stewart of Ft. Wayne Indiana, Bambi (Jarel) Kowalenko of Goshen Indiana, Sara Wilkinson of Rushville Indiana, and Travis Simpson of Logansport Indiana. Heather Brockway of Ft Wayne Indiana. Two surviving grandmothers; Mary Lou Reffitt Bradley of Denver Indiana, Wanda Lou Moore Meiring of Peru Indiana, one grandfather Everett Stewart of Winchester Indiana. Survivors also include a family full of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by grandfather Lee Bradley; two uncles, Mike Bradley and Glenn Bradley.
A memorial service celebrating the life of Travis Stewart will be conducted Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 1:00 PM from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home. Clergy Robert May will deliver comforting words on the day of services. The family will welcome friends Saturday, March 12, after 11:00 AM and anytime prior to funeral services.
