A Magoffin County woman is in the top 15 for a national baking contest and now is the time to cast your votes to help her into the top 10!
Nancy Gibson entered into The Greatest Baker contest, presented by “Cake Boss” Buddy Valastro in October when her sister found the signup information for the contest and shared it with her, knowing she loves Valastro.
Gibson submitted multiple photos of things she has baked and so far the levels of the contest have proceeded through public opinion votes, with people able to go to her Facebook page to click on the link to cast their votes.
If she keeps proceeding through the competition, at some point she will have to go to a filming location to bake on the spot. The winner of The Greatest Baker will be named in February and will be featured in the “Bake From Scratch Magazine” and take home $10,000, as well as get to meet the Cake Boss himself, which is the part Gibson said she is most hoping for.
