Ruth Ellen “Tootsie” Bailey age 90 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Thursday, December 10, 2020 at the Paul B Hall Medical Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. She was born February 05, 1930 in Waylan, Kentucky to the late Sherman and Dora Miller Bailey. Ruth is survived by one daughter, Pamela (Morris) Patrick, of Salyersville, Kentucky, two brothers, Tucker Bailey of Stanton, Kentucky, Darrell Bailey of Memphis, Tennessee, two sisters, Pansy Young of Russell, Kentucky, Laveda Law of Boon, North Carolina, three grandchildren, Brent Patrick, Brad (Rachael) Patrick, Breann (Justin) Patrick, and one great-grandson, Alec Mason Patrick.
In addition to her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Bailey, one brother, Douglas Bailey, three sisters, Brook Whitt, Leola Cole, and Fayetta Bailey.
Ruth was a beautician by trade and a faithful member of the Prater Memorial United Methodist Church of Salyersville.
A private graveside service for immediate family was conducted on Sunday, December 13, 2020 from the Highlands Memorial Park in Staffordsville, Kentucky.
In lieu of flowers, family has requested that contributions can be made in honor of Ruth Ellen “Tootsie” Baily, to the Prater Memorial United Methodist Church or a charitable organization of your choice.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, masks and social distancing are required.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
