From Kentucky Farm Bureau
SALYERSVILLE, KY (Sept. 28, 2026) — Magoffin County Farm Bureau recently announced that Patrick/Arnett Farm has been named a “Legacy Farm” by Kentucky Farm Bureau (KFB). Patrick/Arnett Farm was recognized as a Legacy Farm for its long-standing commitment to farming, contributions to the local community, and involvement in KFB.
KFB’s Legacy Farm designation is awarded to farmers who have demonstrated a commitment to agriculture and the strengthening of rural communities. County Farm Bureaus across the state can nominate three local farms for the honor each year.
Patrick/Arnett Farm has been active in production agriculture for 125 years. Today, the farm is run by Lowell Arnett and produces cattle and hay.
“Kentucky Farm Bureau is proud to recognize the history, perseverance and hard work of our commonwealth’s farm families,” said Eddie Melton, KFB President. “We’re grateful for everything Patrick/Arnett Farm contributes to its community and to Kentucky agriculture, and we’re pleased to honor the generations of dedication that earned them this recognition.”
