Homer “Bill Dod” May age 84 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Thursday, December 10, 2020 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky. He was born May 01, 1936 in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Homer “Dod” and Myra Arnett May. Survivors include one son, Kevin (Betty) May of West Liberty, Kentucky, five grandchildren, April (Matt) Hensley, Becki (Josh) Stevens, Stewart (Chasity) Patrick, Justin (Breann) Patrick, Billy Brian “Dod” May, seven great grandchildren, and one son in law Alex Patrick.
In addition to his parents, Bill Dod is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Arnett May, one son, Paul B. May, one daughter, Kimberly Jane Patrick, two brothers, J. C. May, Grover May, four sisters, Edith Jackson, Jean Adams, Nancy Conley and Pauline May Lovely.
Bill Dod was a pipefitter by trade, a member of the Burning Springs United Baptist Church, and he had a love for fishing.
A private graveside service for immediate family only was conducted on Monday, December 14, 2020 from the Prater-May Cemetery at Pleasant Hill, Kentucky, with John Blanton officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
