OWENSBORO — Magoffin County junior guard Aden Barnett was named to the All-2A Boys’ Basketball State Tournament Team.
Barnett scored an all-time tournament high 34 points in the Hornets’ loss to Mason County on Friday, Jan. 13.
Among the top boys’ high school basketball players in the state, Barnett exited the tournament averaging 19.2 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.
The All-2A Boys’ Basketball State Tournament Team was as follows: MVP-Terrell Henry (Mason County), Philip Bierley (Mason County), Riley Mastin (Mason County), Carter McClanahan (Mason County), Khristian Walton (Mason County), Hudson Sparks (Lexington Catholic), Reece Potter (Lexington Catholic), Tyler Doyle (Lexington Catholic), Kyle Stephens (McCreary Central), Maddux McKinney (McCreary Central), Eli Finley (Calloway County), Jonah Butler (Calloway County), Aden Barnett (Magoffin County), Jackson Wise (Taylor County), Brady Cummins (DeSales), Gabe Jones (Franklin-Simpson).
