EASTERN — The Herald Whitaker Middle School and Magoffin County High School archery teams thrived during DACE’s NASP/IBO 3D Challenge on Saturday, Feb. 18.
Each Magoffin County team and several individuals turned in solid performances during the tournament, which was held at Duff-Allen Central Elementary in Floyd County.
A breakdown of Magoffin County’s team and individual results from the archery tournament follows.
Middle School Team: 2nd – Herald Whitaker Middle School.
Middle School Boys: 1st – Evan Reed, 2nd – Luke Montgomery.
Middle School Girls: 4th – Payton Francis.
High School Team: 2nd – Magoffin County High School.
High School Boys: 1st – Chance Gipson, 5th – Landon Collinsworth.
High School Girls: 4th – Samantha Wheatley.
