Collinsworth places sixth in world competition

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Landon Collinsworth placed sixth for Magoffin County in the NASP Championship IBO 3-D Challenge at the Ocean Center on Saturday, June 8.

Collinsworth shot a 293 to finish sixth out of 319 archers. He placed first out of 67 seniors.

Overall, Collinsworth ranked seventh out of 927 boys in the world tournament. He was the top high school male archer from Kentucky.

Another Magoffin County archer, Chloe Skaggs, placed 20th out of 294 girls in the NASP Championship IBO 3-D Challenge. Skaggs shot a 284 in the tournament, finishing eighth out of 93 sophomores. She finished 36th out of 823 girls in the tournament.

Magoffin County, under the direction of Coach Johnnie King, thrived throughout the 2023-24 high school archery season.
