SALYERSVILLE – A Magoffin County Grand Jury released the following two indictments on Thursday, December 7, 2023:
James Lee Isaac, 42, of Coon Creek Road, in Salyersville, is charged with wanton abuse/neglect of adult by a person (a Class D felony); first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer (Class D felony); first-degree possession of a controlled substance, second offense, methamphetamine (Class D felony); first-degree possession of a controlled substance, second offense, fentanyl (Class D felony); illegal possession of legend drug (Class B misdemeanor); and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to the indictment, on or about September 28 through October 7, 2023, Isaac allegedly abused and/or neglected an adult, as well as engaged in conduct that created substantial danger to a police officer, and contained drug paraphernalia and quantities of methamphetamine and fentanyl.
Lisa M. Watkins, 36, also of Coon Creek Road, in Salyersville, is charged with wanton abuse/neglect of adult by a person (a Class D felony); tampering with physical evidence (Class D felony); first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense, methamphetamine (Class D felony); first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense, fentanyl (Class D felony); and possession of drug paraphernalia. As with the previous indictment, according to the indictment, on or about September 28 through October 7, 2023, Watkins allegedly abused and/or neglected an adult, destroyed or concealed evidence from police, and possessed drug paraphernalia and quantities of methamphetamine and fentanyl.
Warrants were issued for both Isaac and Watkins.
