SALYERSVILLE – The Magoffin County Animal Shelter recently received a large donation of chew-proof dog beds from Bubba’s Beds for Shelter Friends. Melissa Hines, with the animal shelter, tells the SI that every dog at the shelter now has a bed that they cannot chew through, while also serving as an elevated place to sleep.
“This was an amazing, generous donation, as these beds cost over $130 each,” Hines said. “They were put together in New York by a bunch of volunteers. Each volunteer wrote a beautiful message on the bottom of the beds, wishing our animals sweet dreams.”
Bubba’s Beds for Shelter Friends is an all-volunteer nonprofit since 2016 dedicated to providing orthopedic, chew-proof and easy to clean beds to shelter animals across the country.
