He was born in Salyersville, KY on September 26, 1932. Conrad was the son of the late Francis and Gladys (Blankenship) Connelley.

Con was married to Faye (Adams) Connelley on October 5, 1951. To the union was born three children: Doug, Connie, and Mike. Con was preceded in death by his son, Doug, on July 16, 2023, sister, Aliene McCoy, and brother, Walter Francis Connelley.

Con grew up in Salyersville, a little town in eastern Kentucky, where everyone was like family. He loved fishing from the Licking River, hunting in the beautiful hills, and playing basketball with friends at an old hoop put on a barn. I remember Conrad. He was in the class of 1950 – I was in 49. Our friend Phyllis Adams Salyer passed away recently at 92. There aren’t many of us left. If you were in Salyersville High School about that time, or if you know anyone who was, I would really like to hear from you. My telephone number is 559-676-2424. I was back in Salyersville this past April. My, how things have changed over the past 70 years!
