Darvin G. Gibson age 78 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Sunday, September 6, 2026 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center, Hazard, Kentucky. He was born May 07, 1948 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky to the Raymond Gibson and Emma Jean Barnett Sturgill.
Survived by his wife, Eunice Holland Gibson, two sons, Darvin Dwayne Gibson, Chad Lynn Gibson both of Salyersville, Kentucky, one daughter, Brenda Gibson of Willard, Ohio, three children he loved as his own, Bradley Gibson, Felicia Baldwin, Tara Gibson, one brother, Russell Gibson of Salyersville, Kentucky, four sisters, Helen Sparks, Doris Morgan, Rose Mary Risner, Barbara Collins all of Salyersville, Kentucky, six grandchildren, Tatum Gibson Back, Tanika Gibson, Johna Logan, Johnnie Logan, LaTachia Riley, LaKrechia Riley, six great grandchildren, Faith Back, Isaac Deppen, Melina Swann, Ziln Mitchell, Harold “Drew” Tackett, and Jaleigha Riley.
In addition to his parents, Darvin is preceded in death by one son, Christopher Michael Gibson, two brothers, Raymond Gibson, Donald Gibson, and one sister, Linda Gibson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 10, 2026 from the Lakefront Church of God with Larry Patrick and Johnny Reed officiating. Burial Earl May Cemetery in Salyersville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the church any time prior to funeral services.
