Dudley R. Nickels, age 72, a resident of Salyersville, Kentucky, passed away Monday, January 27, 2025 at ARH Paintsville in Paintsville, Kentucky.
Dudley was born March 20, 1952 in Harlan County, Ohio the son of the late Brack and Gladys Barnett Nickels. Daughter, Laura Ann Nickels, son, David Nickels, brothers, Larry Nickels, David Nickels, Rob Nickels, and sisters, Ella Mae Gibson, Mary Cole, Lita Jo Fletcher, Pansy Miller also preceded in death.
Dudley enjoyed spending time with his family and friends while spending time outdoors.
Those left to mourn includes companion, Patty Lynn Jordan Nickels of Salyersville, Kentucky, daughter, Robin Conn and husband Harry of Salyersville, Kentucky, son, Michael Nickels and wife Janet of Salyersville, Kentucky, step children, Christopher Combs of Salyersville, Kentucky, Tony Rowe of Salyersville, Kentucky, Tonya Lynn Sizemore of Ashland, Kentucky, Johnathon Rowe of Salyersville, Kentucky, Breanna Vanhoose of Salyersville, Kentucky, sisters, Sylvia Smith of Michigan, Rella Gipson of Salyersville, Kentucky, brothers, Jacob Nickels of Salyersville, Kentucky, Andrew Nickels of Salyersville, Kentucky, Abe Nickels of Salyersville, Kentucky, a host of grandchildren, family and friends who love and miss him.
Funeral services for Dudley R. Nickels will be conducted Friday, January 31, 2025 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home in Salyersville, Kentucky. Clergy Christopher Bailey will deliver comforting words on the day of service. Interment will follow in the Arnett Cemetery in Oakley, Kentucky. The family will welcome friends Thursday, January 30, 2025 after 6:00 PM and anytime prior to funeral services.
