Haley Marie Shepherd 93 of Gunlock passed away on Friday night May 26, 2023 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Ky. She was born August 11, 1929 at Prater Fork in Floyd County, Kentucky to the late Carew and Nora Ellen Shepherd Castle.
Survived by three sons, Earl (Retha) Shepherd of Hueysville, Kentucky, Larry (Darcus) Shepherd, Jerry Shepherd, both of Gunlock, Kentucky, one daughter, Sheila (Tim) Joseph of Gunlock, Kentucky, one brother Danny Castle of Indiana, two sisters, Hazel Bradley, Mazie Harris both of Indiana, five grandchildren, Tonya Hatfield, Tina Wireman, Tammy Johnson, Misty Conley, Farley Joseph, ten great grandchildren, Tyler Tackett, Layton Terry, Dylan Minix, Reagan Crase, Trenton Hatfield, Danny Tackett, Jerrilynn Hatfield, Carley Hatfield, Riverlynd Marie Joseph, and Heidi Klaire Joseph.
She was a faithful member of the Brushy Fork Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Haley is preceded in death by her husband, Farley Shepherd, daughter-in-law, Carol Shepherd, one grandson, Larry Brandon, five brothers, Mitchell Castle, Manis Castle, Von Castle, Joseph Castle, Carter Castle, two sisters, Helen King, and Pearlie Hale.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, May 31, 2023, from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry Manns, Ronnie Meadows, and Beecher McCarty, Jr officiating. Burial follow edin the Dan Shepherd Cemetery at Gunlock, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
