Howard guided Pikeville to a 29-11 record in the 2021 high school softball season. Under Howard’s guidance, Pikeville edged Shelby Valley 3-2 in the 2021 59th District Softball Tournament title game.

A perennial 15th Region title contender, Pikeville finished 26-12 following a loss to Johnson Central in the 2019 15th Region Softball Tournament Semifinals.

A Magoffin County High School graduate, Howard excelled for the University of Pikeville softball program after an exceptional prep career.
