Josephine Hale Borders age 90 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Friday, December 15, 2023 at the Salyersville Health Care Center in Salyersville, Kentucky. She was born February 03, 1933 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late Westley and Frona Borders Hale.
Survived by one son, Jerry Dean (Kathy) Borders of Salyersville, Kentucky, one daughter, Judy Mae (Timothy) Minix of Salyersville, Kentucky, four grandchildren, Tracy Neil Patrick Watson, Gary Anthony Patrick, Karla Dawn Borders McCarty, Joshua Timothy Minix, four great grandchildren, Justin O’Neil Patrick, Jerry Austin McCarty, Jacob Leon Patrick, Ella Neice Minix, and one great-great grandchild, Hadlee Reece Patrick.
In addition to her parents, Josephine is preceded in death by her husband Hearl Borders, one daughter, Barbara Sue Patrick, one son-in-law, Leon Patrick, two brothers, Corbett “Buster” Hale, Billy Hale, four sisters, Francis Adams, June Adams, Allie Borders, and Delorise Howard.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, December 18, 2023 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with John Blanton, and C.J. Tackett officiating. Burial followed in the Borders Cemetery at Lick Creek, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
