Kathleen Louise Helton (Kat) of Clarksville, Ohio, passed away on November 13, 2022, at the age of 30.
Born December 20, 1991, in Wilmington, Ohio, daughter of Darvel and Kimberly (nee Covert) Helton.
Along with her parents, she is survived by her sisters, Melissa (Nate) Whittamore, Melinda (Sean) Smith, Melanie (Daniel) Mann, and Kelly (Nate) Peck; nieces, Ruby, Vera, and Danni Lynn; nephews, Lukas, Liam, and Robbie; grandparents, Herlin and Rosa Helton and Barry and Margie Covert. And many other friends and family.
Kat was born with a creative and adventurous soul. Her blue eyes (she inherited from her daddy) always held a sense of wonder whether she was fearlessly climbing a door case (Look Momma! No hands!), sprinting across the carpet on all fours like a cheetah earning her the nickname “Rug Kat”, using her Mamaw’s thread spools to play stack ’ems, using a pocketknife to whittle woods with her Papaw, gazing at the stars, or growing flourishing plants from discarded scraps. Her love of a well-done manicure may have begun with hugs from her grandma. She took pride in being strong and independent (qualities her Momma always encouraged) and in turn transformed her artistic dreams into a career she loved. Her loving heart held room for everyone, she genuinely cared about others (always texting or calling no matter the distance), and her laughter could fill any space. More than anything, she fiercely loved her friends and family.
Family and friends will be received from 5-7pm on November 17, 2022, at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, Ohio.
The funeral will be held at 11am on November 18, 2022, at the funeral home.
Interment will take place at Clarksville Cemetery.
