SALYERSVILLE – Magoffin County is scheduled to face Breathitt County in the Hyden Citizens Bank Classic at the Richard M. Nixon Center in Hyden at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 29.
Leslie County hosts the Hyden Citizens Bank Classic annually.
Breathitt County ended the 2019-20 girls’ high school basketball season 6-21. The Lady Cats lost to rival Wolfe County in the 2019-20 55th District Semifinals missing out on advancing to the 14th Region Girls’ Basketball Tournament.

Magoffin County concluded the 2019-20 girls’ high school basketball season 2-26. The Lady Hornets lost to rival Martin County in the 2019-20 57th District Girls’ Basketball Semifinals.

Magoffin County (15th Region) and Breathitt County (14th Region) did not meet during the 2019-20 girls’ high school basketball season. Each hoops team is a former region champion.
Girls’ high school basketball teams from throughout the state opened preseason practice in late-October.
Magoffin County’s schedule will include games versus multiple opponents from the 14th Region.
