Litteral pitches three scoreless innings in start for Henderson

HENDERSON — Magoffin County High School graduate Lucas Litteral pitched three scoreless innings for Henderson in a loss to Full Count at Park Field on Saturday, July 8.

Full County defeated Henderson 7-4 in the Ohio Valley League game.

Litteral started on the mound for homestanding Henderson. Set to pitch for Western Kentucky University in the 2024 college baseball season, Litteral held Full Count, a team based out of Hendersonville, Tenn., hitless while recording four strikeouts and allowing only one walk.

A left-handed pitcher, Litteral excelled for Rend Lake College as a freshman hurler.

Henderson never led as Full Count pulled away for the win in the Ohio Valley League matchup.

Elliott Bray claimed the win on the mound for visiting Full Count. Bray pitched four scoreless innings, allowing one hit while registering four strikeouts for the Rhythm.

Marshall Raper, Jordan Walden and Jack Thompson each contributed on the mound for Full Count, which is the reigning Ohio Valley League champion. Thompson recorded the last three outs to notch the save.

Matthew Ray took the loss on the mound for the Flash. Ray pitched one and two-thirds innings, allowing five runs on five hits while striking out one.

Jackson Cauthron led Full Count’s offensive attack, collecting two hits in four at-bats.

Scales went two-for-four at the plate to lead Henderson’s offensive effort.

After being added to Henderson’s roster, Litteral is looking to help the Flash capture the 2023 Ohio Valley League title.
