SALYERSVILLE – Magoffin County is scheduled to host 15th Region counterpart Jenkins for its opener in the 2021-22 girls’ high school basketball season.
The Magoffin County-Jenkins girls’ basketball matchup is slated for Monday, Nov. 29.
Non-district rivals, Magoffin County and Jenkins did not meet during the 2020-21 prep hoops campaign.
Following a loss to longtime rival Johnson Central in the 57th District Girls’ Basketball Tournament Semifinals, Magoffin County exited the 2020-21 hoops season 5-22.

A former member of the 14th Region, Jenkins competes in the 59th District. Jenkins ended the 2020-21 girls’ high school basketball season 8-16.

Magoffin County is scheduled to visit Jenkins for another game midway through the 2021-22 girls’ high school basketball season.
Former 15th Region girls’ basketball champion Magoffin County split a pair of games with Jenkins during the 2019-20 hoops campaign.
