Magoffin County Schools is proud to announce that all three district preschool sites have earned a Five-Star rating through Kentucky All STARS, the Commonwealth’s quality rating and improvement system for early care and education programs.
North Magoffin Elementary, South Magoffin Elementary, and Salyersville Grade School each received the prestigious Five-Star designation, the highest quality rating awarded through Kentucky All STARS.
This achievement reflects the dedication and hard work of Magoffin County’s preschool and Head Start staff, who work each day to provide young learners with high-quality educational experiences in safe, nurturing, and engaging classrooms.
Our preschool programs focus on the development of the whole child. Highly qualified teachers and instructional staff provide developmentally appropriate and differentiated instruction designed to meet the individual needs of each student. Classrooms offer hands-on learning opportunities that promote early literacy and mathematics skills, language development, social-emotional growth, independence, creativity, and school readiness.
Family engagement is also an important part of the district’s preschool and Head Start programs. Staff members work closely with families to build strong home-school partnerships and provide opportunities for parents and caregivers to be actively involved in their child’s early education.
Earning Five Stars at all three preschool sites is especially meaningful because it demonstrates a district-wide commitment to quality. Regardless of which Magoffin County preschool a child attends, families can feel confident that their child is receiving a high-quality early childhood experience.
